Find and create poems anywhere! In this session, we will create our own found poems as a way of jumpstarting creativity and inspiring us to use language in fresh ways, using everyday sources. Poetry is everywhere!

This session reviewed poets who wrote from places of hardship and exile to help us gain perspective and motivation for writing from our own places of hardship.

In this session, I discussed stereotypes, tokenism, beta readers, culture, and other topics to consider when writing about people of color in our writing projects.
